Fasulia Recipe

Ingredients of Fasulia

450 gm cubed shoulder of lamb
1 large cubed potato
150 gm green beans
1 cup lamb stock
1/2 handful coriander leaves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoon virgin olive oil
500 gm diced tomato
1 small sliced onion
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon allspice
50 gm flour


How to make Fasulia

Step 1
To prepare this delectable recipe, take the cubed lamb in a large bowl and season it with salt, pepper and lightly coat it with flour. Now, take a pot over medium flame and heat a tbsp of olive oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, add the lamb cubes in 2 batches and cook till its brown. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.

Step 2
In the same pot, add the sliced onions and cook till they turn brown. Then add some garlic and cook for another 2 minutes. Finally, add the spices to the pot and cook for a minute more while coating everything properly.

Step 3
Now, add the tomatoes and adjust the seasoning according to your preferences. Pour the cooked lamb pieces and let the mixture simmer for a couple of hours.

Step 4
Now, add the chopped potatoes, and a little stock, if required, and simmer for another 20-30 minutes. Finally, add the green beans and cook for another 40 minutes or till the potatoes and green beans are tender.

Step 5
Transfer this delicious dish to a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves. Pair it with rice and enjoy!
