Brown Chickpea Kebab Recipe |
Ingredients of Brown Chickpea Kebab
200 gm kala chana
1 cinnamon stick
1 inch ginger
2 cup refined oil
salt as required
1 teaspoon black pepper
70 gm all purpose flour
3 cloves garlic
4 bread slices
60 gm chana dal
How to make Brown Chickpea Kebab
Step 1
To make this delicious kebab recipe, wash the chana dal and kala chana under running water and then soak them in a bowl of fresh water for 2 hours. Then, put a pressure cooker over medium flame and add kala chana, chana dal, ginger, black pepper, garlic cloves and cloves in it. Pour 2 cup water and pressure cook to 3-4 whistles.
Step 2
When done, turn off the flame and allow the mixture to cool down. Meanwhile, soak bread slices in a bowl of fresh water for 2 minutes. Then firmly press the bread slices to remove the excess water.
Step 3
Now in the food processor, transfer the dal mixture and add bread slices. Process them until combined. Then, transfer the mixture to a bowl and prepare equal size balls of the mixture. One by one, firmly press each ball to shape them into kebabs.
Step 4
Next, in a medium bowl, add all purpose flour with a little salt. Pour enough water to make a thick batter. Put a kadhai over medium flame and add oil in it. Dip the kebabs in the batter. When the oil is hot enough, carefully add the kebabs into it and deep fry until crispy and golden.
Step 5
Place them on a plate lined with absorbent paper, then, transfer it to a serving plate. Pair it with a chutney of your choice and squeeze lemon on top of it. Enjoy the delicious Black Chickpea Kebab!
